Sölden, Austria is a ski area at the very Southern most point of Austria. It almost shares the border with Italy. The slopes offer open, glacier skiing that is amazing after a fresh dump of powder!
Fun Fact: The James Bond movie “Spectre” was filmed in the mountains here.
The “Gaislachkogelbahn” gondola will take you directly to the “Ice Q” restaurant, which was the “Hoffler Klinic” in the movie, pictured here.

There are several beautiful open “sun bathing” areas at the base of the main lifts. One awesome spot where several runs “wash into” has a restaurant called “Gletschertisch Sölden.” It’s a great place to get a beer.
