St. Anton is a beautiful ski area with a quaint town that has some amazing runs. Its located in the Arlberg region of Western Austria along with six other ski towns. This makes Arlberg known as the largest ski resort in Austria. The ski area doesn’t necessarily get snow until later in the season so I’d recommend you visit this location later in the season. However, once this destination gets snow, the season lasts long and the Spring season has great conditions. This destination has the longest ski loop in Austria which runs 65 km through St. Anton. Check out the St. Anton Ski Map.

Ever heard of Apres? It literally translates to “after skiing;” but, it really means “skiing after-party”. St. Anton is famous for it.

St Anton Apres

When you visit St. Anton head to the Krazy Kanguruh at 3 pm and after you eat a hearty gulash soup you will notice your fellow restaurant patrons begin to stand on their chairs and start dancing to the ever growing polka, party music. After everyone has set into the party atmosphere, the crew leaves the Krazy Kanguruh and attempts to ski or snowboard about 1,000 feet to the Mooser, which is further down the mountain. The Mooser is your final stop before skiing the rest of the way to the town. Enjoy yourself, but make sure you can find your skis in pile outside the restaurant that is sure to develop during the night. Half of the fun is watching everyone sled down to the taxis!
